once all of fb's items r sold.. i'm considering to buy mithril fa gloves m.amp+0 but according to some ppl.. its better to just get osm or teragrace one...

if i dun buy mithril gloves.. i'll be considering to buy :
1. osm battlehelm 8% crit rate 20% crit dmg +7
2. osm battlegloves 7% m.amp +7

wat u guys think?

currently my eqs r :

osm battlehelm 5% crit rate, 20% crit dmg +6
osm battlesuit 7% m.amp, 50hp +7
osm battlegloves 3slot junk +5 (from event =.=)
osm battleboots 100hp +6 <-- considering to change this too if have spare alz =(

(or should i just take fb's boots instead of selling them @@)

what i suggest is...

actually, if u want to use mithril, u will need to reset ur stats

this means removing INT to accomodate for more str/dex to wear mithril +6/+7. while i agree that mithril has better defense, and losing some INT doesn't lose as much magic compared to the def u will get, however u are only catering for ONE part. meaning other parts will still have to be attended to in the future. if u wanna move to mith, move all 4 parts at once

as for a better glove...

osm 1slot +7 m.amp is actually pretty good. or else u could try looking for osm battleglove of amp with m.amp +7 2slot clean, TG FA 5% m.amp glove. because TG has higher def than osm and needs the same stat requirement as osm (albeit the lack of slot would give it less def - if u have the money try for a slotted one lol)

as for boots...100HP is like neither here nor there. try going for EITHER 240HP or 7% m.amp

in any case, my FA was using ST glove/boots before this, so i don't see why u can't survive by using ST heheh...

ely is using titanium eq (tita m.amp boot extended with 80 HP, tita db helm extended 15% rate, 24% dmg), meaning her def is actually pretty low. but at the end of the day, u'll want to focus on ur magic. having all the amp n db in the world, if ur magic is still low, ur output dmg is still low.

hence i suggest focusing on ur orbs 1st if u had such money =D

ic.. thx juni.. in this case.. i'll just stick to osm xD somehow i dun really like the idea of half st n half osm.. coz i feel i really need the def > < since i won't have enough alz to buy another set just for def purposes (i die easily most of the time @@)

i feel that my dmg at the moment ain't so bad.. i have also consider getting orbs (am using crystals now lol) u'll probably nvr really see a fa as noob as me @@

i'm actually quite surprised to hear that ely used tit stuffs.. when she solo ft b1f she was also wearing that? hmm.. i have always been wondering..

example: pherystin orb db+7 lets say one side 8%crit rate 20%crit dmg n another side 30%crit dmg, will the dmg be higher than mithril orb +0 m.amp(both sides)??

*btw.. i notice orbs are getting more exp compared to crystals > < it used to be orbs are cheaper @@ as far as i rem xD

well...orb is more popular since:
- FB : uses orb to save costs of resetting stats (orb uses requires dex, crystal requires str)
- FA/WI : orb has higher magic than crystals, requires less STR/DEX to wear compared to crystals (important to note if u are an FA whose STR/DEX is capped at osm/TG level - STR 113, DEX 227)

the only job that uses crystals, really, is FS. and even among FS, only sFS uses crystal.

mith m.amp has higher base dmg than phery db, but if ur crit rate is high and u crit alot, i think phery db gives more output dmg.

last time, the best setup was 1 side mithril orb m.amp, n 1 more phery db orb.

def isn't a main priority - i can solo sod with 510 def (!!!), aim for dmg. u want to kill faster, not tank longer

some other things to note:
- amp is better pve-wise, but crit dmg is better pvp-wise. although amp orb is more expensive. however in any case, mithril orb 20% cd (!) has higher dmg than mithril orb m.amp.
- ST and osm : diff in defense is only 6 per part. assuming the only ST parts u would have are boots and gloves, u would lose only 12 def. quite negligible if u ask me. if u want higher defense, go for +7 equips, instead of looking at equip grades. alternatively, raise honor n wear better earrings (ie. earring of guard +5/+6)
- tita amp : sounds less appealing than the already non-appealing ST, however, it is cheaper to extend tita. a further loss of 6 defense, vs 60 HP. your call.
- tita/phery db : cheap to extend as well, however for FA, if you are aiming for a max dmg set, there has to be rate in each 1 slot (ie. 16% dmg helm with 1slot 5% rate at least, 16% dmg db orbs with 1slot 5% rate at least for each orbs) - otherwise u lose out on c.rate (meaning all the c.dmg in the world isn't going to help u if u can't even achieve any crits at all) - otherwise just aim for a 8% rate eq with 5% rate in at least 1 slot for extending (for a total of 15% rate, 24% dmg - same like ely's helm).
- crit dmg vs crit rate : need a balance for these...too high crit rate but too low dmg doesn't necessarily make u a winner - u may crit alot, but ur crit will be weak. vice versa, too high crit dmg but too low crit rate makes ur crits a killer, but if they don't come out at all, no point having all the dmg in the world.

my SOD timing with 2 different sets:
1st set (defense set):
- osm battlehelm +26% c.dmg +6
- osm battlesuit m.amp +7%/50HP +6
- osm battleglove +100 atk rate +7
- osm battleboots +100HP +7

def looking around 630+, amp +17%, cd + 66%, c.rate 36%
timing : 10 mins left

2nd set (amp set):
- osm battlehelm +26% c.dmg +6
- osm battlesuit m.amp +7%/50HP +6
- ST FA gloves m.amp+7% +7
- ST FA boots m.amp +7% +4

def looking around 560+, amp +31%, cd +66%, c.rate 36%
timing : 18 mins left

i think u can see the difference there in regards to def vs atk
